Chapter 84: Being Targeted

Li Yan took the lead and led the four kids into the car. The car slowly started and headed towards the hotel.

Just as Miaomiao got into the car, a young girl wearing sunglasses not far away stared blankly at Miaomiao's back. Then she quickly got into her own car and told the driver, "Follow that black car in front."

The airport was quite far from the sea. It took a full hour's drive to reach the hotel.

The hotel Lin Yao booked for the kids was the best in the city. It was nestled against the sea, grand and magnificent. The room he booked was a presidential suite. It was very spacious, big enough for the four kids to stay together.

As soon as they opened the curtains, they could see the sea outside. The gentle sea breeze blew by, and standing on the balcony, they could feel the unique breath of the sea.

"Wow, this place is just perfect!"

This trip was not only Miaomiao's first time seeing the sea, but also the first time for the other three kids to experience the sea.

Cheng Ruan looked at the boundless ocean outside and couldn't help but let out a sigh of admiration.

Most of the sea areas were relatively dark in color, and it was basically very difficult to see the underwater scenery. But the sea here was so clean that it was crystal clear.

Just by looking down, they could see the little fish and shrimp swimming in the water.

The Jinhai area was in the tropics, and the fish in the sea were colorful and extremely beautiful.

Such scenery, without any adornment, was already pleasing to the eye.

"Yawn. I can't take it anymore. I'm going to take a nap first. I'm so sleepy," Yao Mingxuan said with a drowsy head. He had absolutely no mood to enjoy the scenery.

Miaomiao nodded listlessly too, with sleepy tears welling up in her eyes.

"Now that you mention it, I'm a bit sleepy too. Let's go and rest first. We can go out and play when we wake up at night," Cheng Ruan, who had been full of energy just a second ago, was also affected by the sleepy atmosphere of her friends.

The gentle breeze gently blew the wind chimes, accompanied by the intermittent and crisp tinkling sound. The four kids hugged their quilts and gradually fell into a dream.

Downstairs, the young girl who had been following Miaomiao's car to the hotel took off her sunglasses with a look of excitement. She strode into the hotel lobby and asked the receptionist, "Which room are the four kids who just went up staying in?"

"Miss? Oh, they are staying in the presidential suite on the top floor," the receptionist exclaimed. She could hardly believe her eyes. Then she respectfully handed the registration form to the girl.

"Okay. Arrange a room for me just below theirs. Here's my phone number. If they come out, remember to call me," the girl casually glanced at the form. After confirming the names on it, she handed over her business card.

The receptionist nodded and bowed repeatedly in agreement. The girl gave a faint smile, put on her sunglasses again, walked out of the lobby, and returned to her car.

"Let's go. First, go and handle the important business. Hurry up and finish it. I'm going to stay here for a few more days to relax," the girl thought to herself.

It had been a long time since she was reborn, and finally, she had found Miaomiao.

Damn it. Miaomiao's father's information was on a classified list. With her current ability, she simply couldn't access such information.

She had waited for six years, and unexpectedly, she ran into Miaomiao just by going out. It really came without any effort.

The girl hummed a tune in a good mood, which made the driver in front glance at her a few more times.

"Miss, what makes you so happy?"

"Nothing. I just found someone I've been wanting to find for a long time but couldn't," the girl replied.

It wasn't until evening that Miaomiao and the other three kids got out of bed.

If it weren't for their growling stomachs, they probably could have slept even longer.

"Ah, I can't take it. Sleeping makes me feel so sore all over," Cheng Ruan rubbed her arms and moved her joints, complaining.

"Ah, I'm hungry!" Miaomiao opened her eyes groggily, and the first thing that came out of her mouth was about food.

"Let's go and have dinner quickly. There's a buffet downstairs. Let's not go out to eat today," Yao Mingxuan straightened his wrinkled clothes and suggested.

"I just asked the tour guide. There will be a bonfire party on the beach tonight. Do you want to go?" Wei Ziqi, the third kid to wake up earlier, had already inquired about the evening activities from the tour guide in advance.

"Yes, yes, yes!"

Miaomiao nodded repeatedly. The last time they participated in a bonfire party was during a camping trip in the first grade of primary school. But after that incident, the school canceled the camping activity.

After that, every time they went on a spring outing, it was just the usual eating, drinking, and playing. There were no more fun activities like camping or bonfire parties.

"Okay, then let's go and have dinner quickly. The bonfire party starts at 9 p.m. It's already 7 p.m. now. We still need to change our clothes and get ready. It gets quite cold by the sea at night. Remember to put on a couple more clothes," Wei Ziqi urged and reminded his friends like a mother hen.

"Old Wei, I really think you're becoming more and more like Uncle Lin," Yao Mingxuan patted Wei Ziqi on the shoulder and sighed with emotion.

"What do you mean?"

Being compared to Lin Yao should be a compliment, but Wei Ziqi always felt that his friend's words had a hidden meaning and were not really a compliment.

"You're becoming more and more virtuous," Yao Mingxuan laughed heartily.

Wei Ziqi rolled his eyes, indicating that he was too lazy to bother with him. Then he turned around and grabbed Miaomiao's hand and walked out of the room.

After they were full, it was already past 8 p.m. The four kids returned to their room and rummaged through their luggage to find their nicest clothes. They dressed neatly and went out together.

The bonfire party was still being prepared. Miaomiao wandered around on the beach with her friends. From time to time, they picked up some seashells and conches that had been washed up by the waves. They were having a great time.

"Miss, the people you mentioned have gone out," the receptionist called the girl who had asked her to keep an eye on them as soon as she saw Miaomiao and the others go out.

"They're going out at this time? Is there any activity on the beach tonight?"

The girl answered the phone, looked at her watch, and asked curiously.

"There will be a bonfire party on the beach at 9 p.m. tonight. They should be going there to have fun," the receptionist replied.

"Okay, I see. You did a good job. I'll give you a bonus this month," the girl said.

"Thank you, Miss. If you need anything, just call me," the receptionist said.

"Okay, hang up," the girl said and quickly hung up the phone. She quickly stamped the contract, turned around, left the restaurant, and got back into her car.

"Miss, where are we going now?" the driver asked.

"Drive to the beach. By the way, prepare a set of clothes suitable for a bonfire party for me. Remember to be quick. I hope the clothes will be there when I arrive," the girl said.
