Niannian directly pinned Count Charlie to the wall with a sword.
Vampires have a relatively weak sense of pain. Count Charlie only felt his feet leave the ground without even being flung into the air.
After being pinned to the wall, he swayed a couple of times.
Little Tuanzi pouted and said in a milky voice, "Humph, I'm also an annoying Taoist. I won't help you!"
"Don't be like this, beautiful girl. Can't I take back those words?"
Only then did Count Charlie realize that he had said the wrong thing and quickly apologized.
But this trick didn't work on the young people at all.
Little Tuanzi simply yawned, with tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. She slowly crawled back onto the bed.
Count Charlie was anxious. Before he could fully react, he remembered that Little Tuanzi had seemed to feel sorry for him and had wanted to help. He pleaded pitifully again, "Please, little Taoist, help me. I'm really pitiful. I'm far from home and was framed. I still haven't found my coffin. I'll really die if I don't have my coffin!"
"What does it matter to me? You can get down by yourself and go look for it!"
Little Tuanzi didn't use much strength in that strike. She just wanted to show the vampire in person that she didn't want to do this and was very resistant!
Although Count Charlie looked miserable with many wounds all over his body, his breathing was steady and he could move freely. It was obvious that he wasn't seriously injured. He just needed to pat the dirt off his body and he'd be fine in at most three days.
He still wanted to trick a child into doing things for him. Dream on!
The sharp - eyed Little Tuanzi had closed her eyes, and soon even breathing sounds could be heard. Count Charlie hung his head dejectedly.
He raised his hand and pulled out the sword from his wing. His feet touched the ground, and he carefully placed the sword beside Little Tuanzi.
"Alas, those tomb - robbers from the Holy Cult are really hateful. My crystal coffin isn't worth much. Why did they have to steal it..."
Count Charlie murmured softly. Niannian keenly caught the words "Holy Cult" that he had said.
She suddenly opened her eyes, tilted her head and asked in confusion, "What did you just say the people who stole your coffin were called?"
"The Holy Cult. Well, they're quite famous in my hometown. Although they're tomb - robbers, they're more professional and disciplined than normal archaeologists. I really don't know what they want with my coffin. It's not worth much."
Count Charlie was now only concerned about his coffin. He didn't want to say much else. Every other sentence was about his coffin.
"Take me to find your coffin now!"
Little Tuanzi couldn't figure out why the Holy Cult would steal a vampire's coffin, but it didn't matter. The information provided by the vampire was enough to tempt her to go.
Hearing that Niannian had agreed, Count Charlie's eyes instantly lit up.
He quickly got up, picked up Niannian in his arms and jumped out of the window.
He spread his wings and flew quickly in one direction.
It was the first time for Little Tuanzi to experience being carried in the air. She found it quite novel.
It was different from taking a plane. There was a howling wind in her ears, and everything below was getting smaller, but it was all much clearer.
From time to time, she could see a few birds flying towards them.
But the further they flew, the more Little Tuanzi felt that this direction seemed wrong.
???
Why did it seem like the direction back home?
Why did the Holy Cult hide all kinds of demons and ghosts near her home?
Finally, when they reached their destination, it was really the city where Niannian's family lived.
And the place where Count Charlie landed was actually Shuangtuo Mountain, which she had wanted to go to for a long time but never had the chance.
The two peaks stood tall.
From afar in the sky, they looked like the humps of a camel.
Shuangtuo Mountain really lived up to its name.
"This is the place. I feel that my coffin is on this mountain. I can already hear its call!"
Count Charlie happily carried Little Tuanzi towards the middle of the mountain.
After walking for a while, he stopped.
Then he put Niannian on the ground.
Niannian felt the fluctuation of spiritual energy around. There should be a formation here.
It was a killing formation that concealed one's aura.
"I can't go any further. It's really strange around here. As soon as I take a step forward, the trees and grass will shift, and then countless threads will attack me. I think this should be the technique of your Eastern Taoists. As a Taoist, you should be able to break it, right?"
Only then did Niannian realize why Count Charlie had to ask her for help.
She squinted at the handsome man. Little Tuanzi crossed her arms and pouted, saying, "You got injured when you broke into this place, right? You already knew where your coffin was. You deliberately carried me here just to let me break the formation for you! You said we were all annoying Taoists. That's just making things up out of thin air. It's slander!"
Little Tuanzi was very indignant.
She had been deceived, but the Mingxin Mirror hadn't reacted at all.
Could it be that this thing was useless against Western spirits?
Count Charlie wrinkled his nose, looking obviously guilty. He gave a couple of awkward laughs and said, "Hehe, I did hide something, but I really didn't lie to you. Those Taoists who were chasing me were real, but they couldn't hurt me or catch up with me. After separating from you, I came straight here to find my coffin. As a result, I stumbled here and got a little injured. I thought you were an Eastern Taoist and could rescue me, so you must be very powerful and should be able to break this strange formation. So I wanted you to help. But I swear, I definitely didn't lie to you!"
Well, Niannian finally understood why the Mingxin Mirror hadn't reacted at all.
This stinky bat had just hidden something from her, not really lied.
"Humph, if I didn't happen to want to come to this place, I wouldn't help you."
This big bat spirit was really too cunning. Niannian didn't like such an untruthful person at all.
But with the thought of "since I'm already here",
Little Tuanzi took out the compass from her small satchel and took a step forward.
This step took her into the formation.
The trees around immediately scattered and shifted. Of course, this was just a visual illusion. In fact, the trees were still in their original positions.
The formation here wasn't very sophisticated. It was just the most common formation created based on the five elements, occupying the advantages of time, place and people.
Little Tuanzi didn't have to exert much effort at all. She broke it in a few moves.
Those flying threads couldn't even touch her. They just flopped limply and broke in two after flying a short distance.
After the formation was broken, interestingly, a cave suddenly appeared in front of them.
Little Tuanzi fiddled with the compass, calculating a method.
She was surprised to find that this cave was actually the one she had originally planned to find!
