03 A Sincere Letter of Divorce

The car drove into the Li Family Villa.

The Li Family Villa was an ancient - style building. All this was both familiar and strange to Li Qiyu.

The car stopped, but Father Li didn't get out. Li Qiyu wanted to get out, but this novel thing called "car" was really strange to her.

She glanced at her father, who seemed to be waiting for something.

At this moment, the strange device in her father's hand vibrated.

There was a new message in the family group.

Mother Li replied in the family group, "Xichi has moved out. We've put away all her stuff."

Immediately afterwards, Brother Li replied, "I've trained the servants. They won't mention Li Xichi at all."

Sister - in - law Li replied, "Xiyu's room has been tidied up, and Xichi's room has been locked. Please rest assured, Dad."

The little grandson of the Li family replied, "Tongtong will never mention Second Aunt in front of Big Aunt. Please rest assured, Grandpa."

After seeing these messages, Father Li finally felt relieved. He waved his hand, and a servant came forward to open the car door for them. Father Li led Li Qiyu towards the house.

Everything in the house was strange to her. Even the shoe rack at the door made Li Qiyu study for a long time.

However, Li Qiyu wasn't stupid. After almost knocking out her teeth when she hit the hospital bed with her teeth, she became wiser.

After so many days, she also realized that she didn't seem to be in the Mu Dynasty. She should have been brought by her father to some strange country.

As the eldest daughter of the Li family, Li Qiyu had her own integrity. She wouldn't show her ignorance in front of others. So even though she didn't understand and was very curious, she just took a few more glances and then followed Father Li step by step to change her shoes.

Meanwhile, Song Jiaye returned to Xiyu Villa.

As soon as he got out of the car, he received a letter, which was sent by a servant from the Li family.

It was hand - written by Li Xiyu.

In this day and age, there were still people who wrote letters? What was Li Xiyu up to this time?

It was a letter with an ancient charm, in a yellow envelope. There were Chinese calligraphy characters on it, which read: To the Heartless Man.

He opened the envelope. There were several pages, all written in small regular script with a brush, neatly arranged.

Song Jiaye knew that Li Xiyu had practiced calligraphy, because he liked it.

She had done everything possible to please him.

But when he really saw this letter, Song Jiaye was still greatly surprised.

He knew her small regular script was good, but he didn't expect it to be so proficient.

Li Xiyu, this woman, was crazy about him. But seeing this calligraphy, Song Jiaye had to admit that she had really put her heart into it for him.

Song Jiaye's touch didn't last long. When he read the content of the letter, he was immediately so angry that he wanted to beat someone.

A letter of divorce?!

What did this woman mean?!

A letter of divorce had no legal effect. It would be better for her to just throw a divorce agreement at him.

So, was Li Xiyu just trying every means to get his attention now?

If it had been before, Song Jiaye would definitely have thrown the letter of divorce into the trash without even looking at it. But thinking that Li Xiyu had been forced by him to jump into the lake, he was a bit scared.

He did hate Li Xiyu, hated this crazy and unreasonable woman. But he wasn't so vicious as to want her to die.

Li Xiyu had threatened to kill herself before. She had played the tricks of crying, making a scene and threatening to hang herself so many times that she was bored with them, and so was he.

Before, Song Jiaye had never taken it seriously.

He knew that Li Xiyu was afraid of pain and cherished her life. She had never been serious. One time when she said she was going to commit suicide, she made quite a big scene and was even hospitalized. But when they checked, it was just a wound that had barely broken the skin. If it had been a little later, it would have healed.

So, this time when Li Xiyu really jumped into the lake and was even admitted to the ICU because of lung infection, Song Jiaye felt a bit scared.

Moreover, after Li Xiyu woke up, she actively asked for a divorce, which had never happened before.

Song Jiaye casually threw the letter on the bar and asked the person who had delivered it.

"Has Li Xiyu been discharged from the hospital?"

"Yes, Madam has returned to the Li residence."

She had returned to her parents' home?

Song Jiaye was a bit shocked. He had thought Li Xiyu would return to Xiyu Villa immediately.

However, that woman wouldn't last long. She wasn't happy in the Li family. She didn't really like to go back to the Li family.

At most three days, no, at most one day, she would definitely come back by herself!

One month later.

Li Xiyu was very happy at the Li residence.

Father and elder brother had both returned.

She seemed to have returned to the old days when she was still an unmarried girl and the apple of her family's eye.

The only thing that made her a bit embarrassed was that while the relatives around her were familiar, this era was very strange to her. She didn't dare to ask. If she asked too many questions, her family would be impatient. Her father and elder brother were busy with their own things, and her sister - in - law was cold and didn't talk to her.

Of course, there was also another person.

Song Jiaye.

But Li Qiyu didn't want to look for him at all. Whether Song Jiaye had come or not, what he was doing, and whether his great cause was stable, she didn't want to ask.

She was completely disappointed in Song Jiaye.

She just wanted to accompany her family well and make up for the relatives who had suffered because of her.

The current life was the warmth she had missed day and night after she got married into the "palace". She had to cherish it.

Li Xiyu's act of jumping into the lake had really scared the Li family. Now that she had finally been saved, her family naturally doted on her in every possible way.

This gradually gave Li Xiyu a sense of belonging to this world. Moreover, there was someone who didn't mind her stupid questions.

The only son of her elder brother - Li Tong.

With Li Tong's help, Li Xiyu gradually had a vague understanding of this world.

She learned that there was no need to write letters for communication. Everyone had an iron box and could use it to send messages. She also learned that there were no horse - drawn carriages when going out, but one could take a car.

The only pity was that her act of divorcing her husband wasn't such a groundbreaking event anymore.

In this era, women could divorce their husbands.

However, this little regret was soon filled by many novel things.

Among them, Li Xiyu's favorite was the TV.

Just like when she was a child sitting on her father's shoulders watching shadow puppetry, Li Qiyu could watch TV all day long without stopping.

Just like this, after being a drama - chasing girl at home for a month, she had long forgotten about Song Jiaye.

But unexpectedly, Song Jiaye came to the door himself.

When Song Jiaye came, Li Qiyu was hugging a pillow and watching "My Fair Princess" with her little nephew.

For costume dramas, she had the right to speak. Watching the Princess Huanzhu jumping around, she couldn't help but complain.

"TV dramas are all lies. Who would dare to act like this in the palace? They would have their heads chopped off long ago."

Li Tong opened his big black eyes and looked at Li Qiyu, "Big Aunt, have you been to the palace?"
