Chapter 45: Never Get Angry with a Demon

I followed their gazes and was surprised to see Gu Yuan and Jixiang standing there.

Gu Yuan still had his usual ice - cold face. When a girl stepped forward to greet him, he looked disgusted, his eyebrows almost knitted into an inverted V.

What were they doing here?

Thinking that I hadn't been home for a week and he hadn't even contacted me, I felt uncomfortable. So I tugged at Yan Lin's hand and turned around to leave.

"The place is too crowded. Let's go around."

"Lan Lan, did you see that handsome guy just now? The ice - cold hunk is even more good - looking than a movie star."

I didn't want to talk. I just wanted to leave.

Jixiang, who was surrounded by a crowd, still managed to spot me. He shouted, "Little Horse! I'm calling you, Little Horse."

I ignored him and held Yan Lin's hand, continuing to walk forward.

"Is he calling you?" Yan Lin asked, looking back frequently.

"Yes, I'm calling him." True to his nature as a big rat, Jixiang was really fast. Before I knew it, he had blocked my way.

"Little Horse, Third Master wants to have a chat with you."

"Third Master?" Yan Lin covered her face with both hands, completely in disbelief. She looked back at Gu Yuan again, her big watery eyes widening in shock.

"Is that guy... your..."

"No, you've got the wrong person." I admit I was a bit sulky. Who asked him not to believe me?

"Now I know why you're so deeply infatuated. Even I would be smitten if I were you."

I stole a glance at Gu Yuan in the distance and asked, "How's his injury?"

"Thanks to you, he's all better," Jixiang said slyly.

Hearing this, I felt a bit better.

"It's okay. I still have classes. Jixiang, please ask your Third Master to go back." I pulled Yan Lin and continued walking.

"Come on, Little Horse. Just have a chat."

He put his hand next to my ear and whispered, "Actually, Third Master just doesn't mean what he says. He just wants to tease you. Marriage needs some spice to be fun."

"I don't need this kind of spice. Yan Lin, hurry up or we'll be late."

After saying that, I held Yan Lin's hand and walked forward.

But as soon as I took a step, my feet seemed to be glued to the ground and I couldn't move at all.

The next second, a deep voice came from within my body.

"How long are you going to be angry?"

Gu Yuan had possessed my body. Before I could respond, he had already controlled my body and walked towards the grove we had passed by before.

"Lan Lan, where are you going? We still have class," Yan Lin reached out to pull me, but was stopped by Jixiang.

"It's just a class. I'll go with you."

After saying that, Jixiang pulled Yan Lin's arm playfully and walked towards the classroom.

It was the same small stone bench we had sat on before. He controlled my body to sit down, but didn't leave my body.

"How long are you going to keep this up?" he asked.

Maybe in his eyes, all my actions to care about him were just nonsense.

"I'm not making a fuss, and I don't have the right to. Third Master, you can say whatever you want."

It was obvious that I was angry. Gu Yuan wasn't stupid. Couldn't he tell?

"How can you stop being angry?"

Did I hear it wrong? I never thought Gu Yuan would say such a thing. Was this a kind of concession to me? But this concession didn't seem like one at all.

I didn't say a word and just sat there sulking. Since he was sharing my body now, he must be able to feel my emotional fluctuations.

"Just tell me what you want."

Was it really about what I wanted? What did this have to do with what I wanted? Did he expect me to take the initiative to say that I wanted to make up with him, stop being angry, and that I had been so miserable these days without seeing him?

Gu Yuan was very helpless. I could feel that he was at his wit's end with me.

Seeing him like this, I felt much better. At least he didn't threaten me again and say that if I was still angry, he would take my life.

I kept silent throughout. I couldn't beat him, so the cold - war was the best way to fight back.

Gu Yuan suppressed his anger inside my body and controlled my hand to rummage through my backpack.

What was he up to?

After a while, he found a mirror and an eyebrow pencil.

He started to draw on my face in the mirror. Before long, my face was a mess.

"Gu Yuan, what are you doing?" I finally spoke up, driven to the limit.

"You're willing to talk. So are you still angry?" Gu Yuan's voice wasn't as gloomy as before. He seemed quite happy.

"How could I have the right to be angry with you?" I was still struggling.

"So you're still angry." With that, he took out a lipstick and drew two big solid red circles on my cheeks.

Then he stood up and walked out.

Gu Yuan, you're so sneaky. This made me even angrier.

But he was enjoying himself. I walked around the school playground with my painted face.

The students on the playground looked at me like I was a fool. I was so embarrassed.

"Are you still angry?"

"No, no. I'm even angrier. Get out of my body quickly." I was breathing heavily, feeling like my lungs were about to burst.

Seeing that I still wasn't calming down, Gu Yuan walked out of the school gate with his painted face. He randomly found a hair salon outside and sat down directly.

"Get a haircut."

The barber was stunned to see my colorful face.

Everyone just stared at me and didn't dare to say a word.

"Get a haircut. Can't you hear me?" Gu Yuan continued.

I was about to explode with anger. I really was. Aaaah! Aaaah! Aaaah!

"Gu Yuan, what are you doing? I'm telling you, if you cut my hair, I won't let you off."

My voice could only be heard by him.

"Are you still angry?" His voice wasn't cold and aloof anymore. Instead, it was full of gloating provocation.

I watched as the barbers pushed each other. Finally, a young guy who looked less than twenty years old was pushed forward. He was probably just an apprentice for a few days.

He asked with a smile, "How would you like your hair cut, customer?"

Gu Yuan asked in my mind again, "Are you still angry?"

"You..." I was so angry that I was speechless.

"Shave my head bald."

"What?"

The apprentice was almost scared out of his wits. He probably couldn't believe his ears. Which girl didn't cherish her hair like her life? He had never seen anyone who came in asking to be shaved bald.

"Hurry up. I don't have a good temper," Gu Yuan said to the barber.

"Gu Yuan, you're so sneaky. Tell him to stop. Stop right now."

"Then are you still angry?"

Gu Yuan was quite patient today. He asked over and over again if I was still angry.

The sound of the barber's clipper had already started. I could see the clipper getting closer to my hairline.

If it went down, it would take three to five years for my hair to grow back to its current length.

For him to shave my hair was like taking my life.

"Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!"

The sound of the electric clipper was getting closer and closer. My heart was in my throat. At that moment, I felt like a death - row prisoner kneeling on the execution ground, waiting for the executioner to swing his sword.
