Before she could finish her words, Tracy interrupted her coldly, "Do you have an appointment with the president?"
Linda was stunned. "N-no, I don't."
"But I've known Mu Junze for a long time. As long as you tell him it's me looking for him, he'll definitely let me in. Please go and tell him first!"
Tracy remained cold. "The president doesn't see anyone without an appointment."
She gave a look to the security guard, and immediately the guard was about to close the door.
Linda quickly stuck her arm in to stop the door and explained desperately, "I really have something important to tell Mu Junze. If you don't let me talk to him, he'll be in danger!"
"Close the door!" Tracy ordered.
The sharp pain forced Linda to withdraw her arm. In an instant, the door was closed by the security guard.
Linda slapped the glass door hard and shouted at the top of her voice, "I really have something to tell Mu Junze. If you don't let me in, you'll regret it when something happens to him!"
She was extremely anxious.
Early this morning when she walked out of her room, she accidentally heard Jin Hui instructing his subordinates to station some men near the villa of the American listed company's boss. They were going to teach Mu Junze a good lesson after the party was over.
Linda didn't know what grudge Jin Hui had against Mu Junze, but Jin Hui was extremely ruthless. Mu Junze was completely unprepared and might even die in his hands!
This couldn't happen!
But the security guards wouldn't let her in. How could she warn Mu Junze?
The more she thought about it, the more anxious she became. She paced back and forth in front of the company, wringing her hands in distress. Suddenly, she remembered the time when she anonymously emailed Mu Junze the photos of Meng Nianchu and Li An's affair. Her eyes lit up. She rummaged through her bag, took out her spare phone, found Mu Junze's number, and sent him the message she wanted to tell him.
Mu Junze had blocked her last time and hadn't unblocked her yet, so she had no choice but to use another phone.
Less than a minute after the message showed as successfully sent, Mu Junze, who was sitting on the third floor of the company, heard a ding from the phone on his desk.
He picked it up and frowned slightly.
It was another anonymous message.
He tapped on the message and read it from beginning to end. Just then, Tracy walked in with a cup of coffee and a stack of documents in her hands.
As soon as she put the coffee on the desk, she said, "That Linda who just returned to the country these two days is right outside the company. She said she has something to tell you, President."
"I saw the way she treated Sister - in - law so badly and how affectionate she was towards you, President. I knew she had impure motives. Since she didn't have an appointment with you, I just told the security guards to drive her away and not let her in."
"Women like her should be sent as far away as possible. She might be the next Meng Rong."
As Tracy complained, her hands didn't stop. She placed the stack of documents in front of Mu Junze and separated them one by one. She picked up a red document and put it in the front first. "This is the cooperation plan with the American company that the employees stayed up all night to finish last night."
Mu Junze glanced at his phone and then put it on the desk. He picked up the red document and flipped through a page.
The atmosphere in the office was quiet.
Suddenly, Mu Junze said, "Tell the security guards in the company to go to the vicinity of the American company boss's villa tonight, especially near the underground garage. Leave a few more people there and tell them to hide in the cars so as not to be seen."
"What's going on?" Tracy picked up the signed documents on the other side of the desk and hugged them in her arms. "Aren't you going to negotiate a cooperation, President? Why do you need so many people?"
Was he going to fight?
Of course, she didn't dare to ask this question out loud. She just muttered it to herself.
Seeing that there was no problem with the plan, Mu Junze picked up another document to check and didn't answer Tracy's question.
Knowing that Mu Junze didn't want to talk, Tracy didn't dare to ask rashly. Since the plan was okay and she didn't have to work overtime tonight, Tracy happily closed the door and walked out of the office.
As soon as she left, Mu Junze's eyes darkened. He grabbed his phone and stared at the anonymous message on the screen. The strength in his hand holding the phone increased.
Someone is going to attack you in the underground garage of the American company boss's villa tonight.
Who could know his whereabouts tonight and that someone was going to harm him...
Taking a deep breath, Mu Junze suddenly remembered what Tracy had just said about Linda having something to tell him. His expression became even more solemn. He dialed Tracy's number and asked her to come to the office again.
When Tracy rushed to the office in a hurry, Mu Junze gave her his phone and told her to find the company's best programmer to crack the location of the anonymous message as soon as possible. He hoped they could even break into the sender's phone to find out who it was.
Seeing Mu Junze's extremely serious expression, Tracy didn't dare to delay and quickly went to do it.
But cracking the program wasn't an easy task. By the time the company got off work in the evening and Mu Junze had picked up Meng Nianchu from the filming set, the programmer still hadn't succeeded.
There was very little time left before the party started. Due to the time constraint, the two of them went directly to the dress shop. After Meng Nianchu changed into her dress, they rushed to the party venue.
Women are sensitive. On the way to the party venue, Meng Nianchu noticed that Mu Junze seemed absent - minded. She asked softly, "Is work in the company too busy?"
"No."
She stared at him for a few seconds. Seeing that he didn't seem to want to tell her anything, Meng Nianchu didn't press further.
Suddenly, Mu Junze reached out his left hand and held Meng Nianchu's small hand.
Meng Nianchu gave a gentle smile.
Mu Junze didn't tell Meng Nianchu about the anonymous message for fear that it would scare her and make her worried all night.
But he was also afraid that Meng Nianchu might be targeted accidentally. So as soon as they got out of the car at the party venue, Mu Junze put his arm around Meng Nianchu's slender waist.
The two walked side by side into the living room. Those who had arrived at the venue earlier flocked to Mu Junze when they saw him.
"Mr. Mu, it's really been a long time. I heard you have a new big project in hand recently. Don't forget to let us have a share!"
"Right! I think this American project is surely yours, Mr. Mu. No one can compete with you. You're a well - known figure in our business circle!"
It was the familiar flattery again.
Meng Nianchu stood beside him with a proper smile on her face, but in her heart, she was thinking about when she could have something to eat.
The filming on the set ended early tonight, and she hadn't eaten anything for dinner. She was so hungry that her stomach was growling. Suddenly, she smelled the fragrance of cake floating from not far away and turned her head to look.
Immediately, someone noticed her. "Mrs. Mu is getting more and more beautiful recently. You don't look like a woman who has given birth at all."
