Chapter 10. Interested in Me?

"So what if it's in the classroom?"

Gu Fancheng pinned my troublesome hands above my head. My annoyed and embarrassed expression was reflected in his eyes. "If I hadn't pitied you for losing so much blood... Do you think I would have let you rest for a full seven days?!"

"Um..." The not - so - unfamiliar pain swept over my body again. The old desk beneath me was like a small chopping board, and I was the fish on it, being wantonly tasted by Gu Fancheng.

The old desk creaked under the weight. I bit my lower lip desperately, trying not to let out strange sounds.

"Be good, Xixi. Don't hurt yourself."

Gu Fancheng's long, pale fingers brushed across my nose and pried open my teeth. A strange feeling suddenly exploded in my body, and the shameful sounds still involuntarily spread from the depths of my throat.

"Good girl, just like this!"

The corner of Gu Fancheng's lips curved slightly. He seemed extremely satisfied with my reaction. I could feel him becoming even more crazy, as if deliberately making me cry and plead with him in the verge of collapse...

The crescent moon sank in the west. My voice was already hoarse like a sleepy kitten, and I murmured as I gradually lost consciousness.

"... So useless..." The last voice I heard was Gu Fancheng's rather cold one.

In the early morning, I was woken up by the alarm on my phone.

It was already five - ten in the morning.

My body was buried in the soft, light - gray quilt. I was a bit dazed and didn't know where I was.

Gu Fancheng was lying beside me. His good - looking eyebrows were slightly lowered. Except for his slightly pale face, he didn't look like a scary ghost at all... Do ghosts sleep?

As soon as this thought came to my mind, that good - looking face showed an expression. The corner of his lips lifted. He still didn't open his eyes. "Have you had enough of looking?"

"..."

I suddenly felt like I had been caught stealing. Just as I wanted to move away from him, he grabbed me back into his arms with his long arm. My body temperature warmed his skin a little.

"Who... Who on earth are you? How did you die?" I was afraid of such an ambiguous silence.

When I was recuperating at home, I did look up the name "Gu Fancheng".

There was absolutely no trace of his existence on the all - powerful Internet... No wonder. "Fancheng" was not a word suitable for a person's name. Which parent would want their child to be trapped in a Buddhist temple from birth?!

"Interested in me?"

Gu Fancheng squinted at me.

"Since we've had a ghost marriage, I... I need to know your background..."

I also looked up the rules of a ghost marriage. It was originally a wedding between two ghosts. I didn't know why he had found me. I wasn't born at a special time and had no value for a ghost marriage.

Gu Fancheng leaned closer to my cheek and gently kissed the tip of my nose. His face was solemn. "Please me once, and I'll tell you one answer."

"Get away!" My serious mood was ruined by his sudden teasing. I was so angry that I propped myself up and wanted to get out of bed and leave.

Unexpectedly, Gu Fancheng had no intention of letting me go. According to his words, how could the seven - day suppression be relieved in just one night...

The alarm on my phone rang again. The cracked screen showed it was already eight o'clock sharp.

Our class roll - call time was half past eight.

I pleaded with Gu Fancheng in a broken voice. This was my first day of school, and I didn't want to leave a bad impression on the teacher!

Gu Fancheng thought for a while, gently bit my earlobe, and finally let me go.

I quickly got up and took a shower. From the LOGO on the bathroom supplies, I knew that this was the Green Land Yihao Hotel, the most luxurious hotel in Green City. The cheapest guest room was beyond our means.

Without thinking too much, I rushed out wrapped in a bathrobe. Gu Fancheng's eyes darkened, but he pointed to the side of the bed.

My clothes from yesterday were neatly placed there, clean and ironed.

"It's not too far... You'll make it." Seeing my hands trembling as I buttoned up, Gu Fancheng said calmly to comfort me.

What nonsense!

I thought to myself.

I wasn't a ghost. How could I teleport to school?!

It would take more than ten minutes to drive from here to school.

I opened the door and rushed towards the elevator.

On the way, a waiter nodded and smiled at me and led me to the elevator. It was a direct elevator that led straight to the underground parking lot.

I didn't have a car. Just as I wanted to rush back to the first floor to find a way,

I saw a wine - red Lincoln silently stop in front of me. The door opened, and the middle - aged uncle who had given me a ride on the fourteenth of July ran over eagerly and opened the back - seat door.

I was so scared that I took two steps back. But the middle - aged uncle looked hurt and said, "Young Mistress, don't be afraid. The Young Master has ordered that I'll follow you from now on when you go out..."

...

The fear of being late on the first day of school was scarier than a ghost. In the end, I chose to compromise.

The uncle drove fast and steadily. He sent me back to school without any major problems.

Although the counselor looked at me with a constipated expression as I just made it into the classroom on time, he didn't make things difficult for me. He just implicitly pointed out that now that we were all adults who could be responsible for ourselves, we couldn't be as willful as in high school. The university dormitory wasn't a place where we could come and go as we pleased!

I sneaked into the back of the classroom with a ashamed face and sat down quietly. Immediately, a girl with short, neat hair came over.

"Are you Lu Xixi? I'm Lin Li. I arrived last night. You're so unique. You dared not stay in the dormitory on the first day?!"

I forced a smile. I didn't know how to answer.

But Lin Li shrugged indifferently and said, "The dormitory environment is not very good. It's cold. I also plan to move out in a few days... But the other female classmate still hasn't come. I don't know if she looks down on our major."

Thanks to Lin Li, I didn't feel restricted in the class.

Although she was constantly whispering some school gossips, I listened with great interest.

There was no real classwork on the first day of school. It was just for the students to get to know each other. As soon as it was noon, the counselor announced the end of class and let us do as we pleased.

Lin Li was from a city near Green City. She had a class reunion to attend. She apologized to me and happily ran to find her fellow villagers.

I wanted to call Zhao Zifeng to ask about the situation, but I couldn't unlock my cracked - screen phone. I was so depressed. I had just said yesterday that my living expenses could last for the whole semester. If I had to buy a new phone, I might soon not be able to afford food...

The mid - day sun was extremely strong. I felt a bit dizzy from the sun.

I had been tortured by Gu Fancheng all night yesterday, and I hadn't had time to have breakfast in the morning. The scenery around me seemed to have a halo.

I quickly grabbed a big tree to avoid falling.

Just as I leaned against the tree trunk, out of the corner of my eye, I seemed to catch a glimpse of a shadow in front of me.

"Lu Xixi, please help me!"

The black shadow knelt straight in the mottled tree shade. The noon sun shone through the leaves and could directly pass through its body, allowing me to see its face clearly...

Half of its head was broken, and an eyeball was hanging on its blood - stained cheek. Wasn't this Wang Anran, who had tried to push me off the building last night?!
