Chapter 100: The Scene of the Gang Fight

In the past few days, the bullet comments had gone unusually quiet.

Su Xianyu would occasionally see a few remarks saying that the author was revising the text. But before she could take a closer look, those comments were blurred out.

It was said that the chapter hadn't been completely revised yet and was locked again, so it was temporarily not allowed to be spread.

With no leads to go on, Su Xianyu had no choice but to calm down and let things take their course.

Unexpectedly, it was Feng Lin who brought up the idea of going out again.

Early in the morning, Su Xianyu came downstairs with rather heavy dark circles under her eyes. Feng Lin had already prepared breakfast.

"Been in a bad mood lately?" Feng Lin handed her a cup of warm milk.

"I've sorted out all the company matters. Let's go on a honeymoon, just the two of us."

"Really?" Su Xianyu was somewhat delighted.

Right! How could she forget that although she wasn't the female lead yet, Feng Lin was the male lead!

The author had been punished for violating the rules before and didn't dare to directly manipulate the main characters again.

She looked up at Feng Lin and gave him a sincere smile. "Where shall we go?"

Seeing her happy, Feng Lin visibly relaxed and said with a smile, "Let's go to Island B, the place you've always wanted to go, to watch the aurora."

"Great!"

They booked their plane tickets that very day. Without telling anyone, they left quietly.

The days on Island B were warm and peaceful. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the bullet comments were no longer annoying.

Su Xianyu and Feng Lin were like ordinary lovers, walking hand in hand in the snow, watching the gorgeous aurora dancing in the night sky.

When she got tired, she gently laid her head on Feng Lin's shoulder. "A Lin, I really wish we could live like this forever."

"Of course we can," Feng Lin replied without hesitation. "When we get back to the country, I'll look into moving..."

"Wait!" Su Xianyu said, half - amused and half - helpless. "I was just sighing casually. No matter how beautiful the scenery is, there will come a day when we get used to it."

"We'll go back after we've stayed here long enough."

Feng Lin didn't argue but just nodded repeatedly. "Okay, I'll do whatever you say."

It didn't matter to him where they lived. As long as Xiao Yu was there, that was home.

However, the peaceful days didn't last long. A week later, they were having dinner in a well - known local restaurant when they suddenly heard intense gunshots outside.

"Bang!" "Bang, bang!"

The restaurant was in chaos. People screamed and scattered in all directions to hide.

"What's going on?" Su Xianyu tightly grabbed Feng Lin's hand.

Feng Lin's face changed. He protected her under his body. "Stay quiet and don't move."

Just as he finished speaking, several masked men rushed in, guns in hand, shooting at the ceiling. "Don't move!"

The restaurant instantly fell silent. Everyone was too scared to make a sound.

"Hand over all your valuables!" the leading masked man roared, his eyes scanning the crowd as if looking for someone.

Su Xianyu's heart was in her throat. She noticed that those men's gazes always fell on her side intentionally or unintentionally.

"A Lin, we have to get out of here," Su Xianyu whispered. "I have a feeling this is aimed at us."

Feng Lin nodded and quietly pressed the emergency button on his phone.

"Found them!" a masked man suddenly pointed at Feng Lin and Su Xianyu and shouted.

Everyone pointed their guns at them. Feng Lin immediately protected Su Xianyu behind him and took out a gun from his pocket - he always carried it for safety when abroad.

"Bang!"

The gunshot rang out. The bullet whizzed past Feng Lin's ear.

The scene instantly turned into chaos. Some people took the opportunity to escape, while others screamed in fear.

Feng Lin pulled Su Xianyu, using the tables and chairs as cover, and slowly moved towards the back door.

"Catch them!" the leading masked man shouted and led his men to chase after them.

Bullets whistled past them constantly. Su Xianyu closely followed Feng Lin, her heart pounding as if it was about to burst.

Just as they were about to reach the back door, a masked man suddenly rushed out from the side and pointed his gun at Su Xianyu.

Feng Lin reacted quickly. He pushed her away, but a bullet pierced through his shoulder.

"A Lin!" Su Xianyu let out a cry of alarm.

"Xiao Yu, go!" Feng Lin endured the intense pain and pushed her out of the back door. "I'll come right after!"

Su Xianyu knew this wasn't the time to hesitate. She wiped away her tears and rushed into the vast night without looking back.

She didn't know how long she had run. She finally collapsed in the snow when she could no longer see the restaurant.

In her panic, she had no idea where she was. Everything around her was strange.

The cold wind was bone - chilling, but Su Xianyu didn't feel the cold at all. All she could think about was her worry for Feng Lin.

[What on earth is the author doing! They were just having a nice honeymoon. How did a gang fight break out?]

[Didn't the author promise not to manipulate the main characters? Our Lin Bao is injured. Is the author breaking the rules again?]

[This time, she really didn't. Look at the newly revised plot. She originally planned for Su Xianyu to get shot. Feng Lin got injured just because he voluntarily blocked the bullet for Xiao Yu.]

[They were just having a sweet newly - wed time. Why does the author have to interfere again? It feels like the author wants Xiao Yu's character to die off.]

[You're overthinking. There's no other female character with a higher affection - point towards the male lead than Xiao Yu. Maybe the author wants to add some drama to make their relationship deeper.]

[I hope it's just a little bit of pain. I can't take too much of it...]

Just as Su Xianyu was about to get up and continue looking for help, she suddenly stepped into thin air and fell heavily into a snow ditch.

Her forehead hit a frozen clod of earth. Stars exploded in front of her eyes, and a bruise appeared on her forehead.

Her phone flew out of her pocket and slid far away on the snow. The broken screen fragments mixed with ice crystals, reflecting a cold light.

She struggled to get up, but her right hand touched something sticky and warm. It was blood.

It wasn't hers. There was a man in a black jacket lying at the edge of the snow ditch. Half of an ice pick was stuck in his neck, and his eyes were still wide open.

Su Xianyu's stomach cramped. She covered her mouth tightly to keep from throwing up.

There were messy footsteps outside the ditch, mixed with foreign curses and the sound of someone kicking the corpse with their boots.

She held her breath and shrank into the snowdrift, burying herself in the shadow behind the man. Her down jacket almost blended in with the snow.

A hoarse voice said, "Boss, this area is clear. Three of the 'White Wolf' gang members got away."

"Chase them," another deep voice rang out, full of an unquestionable coldness.

The footsteps gradually faded away. Just as Su Xianyu let out a sigh of relief, she suddenly heard the rustling sound of fabric rubbing above her head.

She suddenly looked up and came face - to - face with a pair of hands wrapped in black leather gloves, holding onto the bushes at the edge of the ditch.

The owner of those hands clearly didn't expect there to be someone in the ditch. He paused for a moment and then jumped down.

"... There's a little rabbit hiding here?"

"Hubby?"
