Chapter 45. Do You Dare Let Me Touch You?

In the villa room, Zhu Ning leaned on the sofa. The smell of alcohol on her was getting stronger, and her mind was becoming more and more muddled. She could only vaguely see Pei Jin bustling around.

She staggered, squinting her eyes to recognize who was in front of her. "Who are you?"

Pei Jin fed her some water. "Don't you recognize me so soon?"

Zhu Ning let out an "oh." "Pei Jin! Long legs!"

Pei Jin: ...

"Is there anything else in your mind besides this?"

Zhu Ning giggled.

He also curved his lips into a smile, leaned over, and fed her some more water.

Zhu Ning waved her hand. "I won't drink anymore. I can't drink any more. I'm drunk, I'm drunk."

Pei Jin supported her head. "You dared to drink the special cocktail but are afraid of water."

Zhu Ning said, "Come on. A mere special cocktail is a piece of cake for me!"

Pei Jin scoffed, put the cup on the table, and then squatted down to look at her face.

Her cheeks were flushed, her hair was in disarray, and her nose, mouth, and neck were all red. She looked so pitiful.

"The doctor will come soon. Let him check if you've eaten anything dirty."

Zhu Ning shook her head. "I only ate grapes..."

"What if the grapes are also dirty?"

Zhu Ning tilted her head and looked at him with hazy eyes.

Pei Jin turned his face away. "Why are you looking at me like this?"

Her voice was soft and waxy with a slight nasal tone. "How could grapes be dirty?"

Pei Jin said, "Who knows?"

Zhu Ning said, "Are you a fool?"

Pei Jin said, "Would you dare to say this to me when you're sober?"

"Hehe." Zhu Ning grinned proudly. "I've grown bolder."

Pei Jin lowered his head and smiled softly. "You're really drunk."

"Hehe."

The room was quiet. Zhu Ning was getting more and more drunk. She slumped on the armrest of the sofa and stared straight at his face without end.

At first, Pei Jin could ignore it. But after being stared at for a long time, he finally said helplessly, "Do you have to stare at me like this?"

"It's a waste not to look."

Zhu Ning made a gesture of whispering to him.

"I like good - looking people."

"Don't tell anyone else."

Pei Jin looked at her with a look that seemed to say "do you think I don't know?" Zhu Ning felt embarrassed under his gaze. She scratched her head and slumped on the sofa. Her two moist eyes looked at him with a smile. "I have another secret. Mr. Pei, don't tell anyone else."

"Tell me."

Zhu Ning waved to him furtively. "Come here, come here."

Pei Jin wanted to see what drunken nonsense she could say. He leaned closer. She stuck to his ear and whispered, "Your legs are so good - looking too."

Pei Jin: ...

Zhu Ning whispered to discuss with him. "Do you dare to let me touch them? Do you have the courage?"

Pei Jin said, "You're a lecher."

"There's a famous quote."

"What?"

"There's a knife above the character 'lust'. Take as many cuts as you can!"

Her actions were bold, but her body staggered. Pei Jin scooped her up with one hand. "What kind of famous quote is this?"

Zhu Ning fell into his arms and giggled at his face. "Mr. Pei, you're so good - looking."

Pei Jin turned his face away. Zhu Ning moved closer again. "Your eyelashes are so long."

"And your nose is..."

"Zhu Ning."

"Huh?" She stared blankly at him.

Pei Jin said, "Do you know what you're doing?"

"Sure."

"I'm complimenting you."

Pei Jin took her hand away. "You're being a hooligan."

Zhu Ning looked at him as if he had wronged her. "This is not being a hooligan. This is being a hooligan!"

Saying that, her soft palm touched his leg. Pei Jin's body stiffened, but the other person wasn't satisfied. She even used her little hand to rub and tease back and forth.

Pei Jin's eyebrows twitched, and he stopped her movement.

"Zhu Ning, that's enough."

His voice was hoarse and a bit annoyed.

Zhu Ning was startled. Her emotions after getting drunk were magnified infinitely, and her eyes were instantly filled with tears.

"Why are you so fierce?"

Her tear - filled eyes made Pei Jin's temples throb.

What kind of logic was this?

He was the one being taken advantage of, but he still had to turn around and comfort her.

She kept crying, and her tears fell one by one. Pei Jin endured it for a while and still reached out to wipe her tears. "Be reasonable."

Zhu Ning was unhappy. "Your attitude is so bad."

Pei Jin said, "You're being pushy."

Zhu Ning was about to cry again.

Pei Jin had a bit of a headache.

"Then what do you want?"

"Beg me."

He didn't say a word.

Then she started to sob.

After a moment, he lowered his head helplessly. "Please."

"Your attitude is not good enough."

The veins on Pei Jin's hand popped out, but he reluctantly relaxed. His big, broad hand held her little hand.

"I was wrong. Please."

He looked at her. "Is that okay?"

"Hehe."

She stopped crying and burst into laughter so quickly that Pei Jin felt she had been faking it just now.

She rested her head on his shoulder, lowered her head, and wiped her tears on his coat. Relying on being drunk, she wantonly touched his long, straight, and strong legs with her little hand.

"Mr. Pei, your legs are so good - looking."

Her voice was muffled. Pei Jin actually couldn't quite hear what she was saying. His chin was itchy as her furry head rubbed back and forth. Her breath penetrated his skin through his shirt. It was so hot.

It was so hot that he wanted to turn on the air - conditioner.

"Enough. Don't move around."

Zhu Ning's hand touched the firm and powerful muscles of his leg. "Have you lost your courage?"

Pei Jin stopped her. His voice was even hoarser. "That's enough."

Zhu Ning looked at him strangely and then lowered her head. "Mr. Pei, why are you..."

"Shut up."

Pei Jin stared at her with his dark eyes. His voice was hoarse, and there was a strong strange look in his eyes. "If you say it, I'll punish you."

Zhu Ning was so scared that she covered her mouth. Pei Jin gently pushed her away. "Stay quiet by yourself, okay?"

She covered her mouth and nodded. Pei Jin turned around, leaned against the wall with his hands, and took a deep breath.

After a while, the heat in his body subsided. He let out a breath and tidied up his clothes.

When he turned around again, the culprit was already slumped on the sofa, asleep, holding a small gift box.

The phone screen was on, with the words: For you.

Pei Jin carried her to the bed and laid her down gently. He leaned over and picked up the small black velvet gift box.

When he opened it, a Vacheron Constantin enamel ruby brooch came into view.

He lowered his eyes and stared at the brooch in the box for a while.

He closed the lid and put it in his pocket.

A few minutes later, Song Ya brought the doctor into the room to examine Zhu Ning. Pei Jin leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, waiting for the result.

"Preliminarily, Miss Zhu didn't come into contact with anything dirty. It's just alcohol intolerance after drinking the mixed liquor. Fortunately, she didn't drink much alcohol. It will be metabolized in a few hours."

"Okay, thank you, doctor."

Song Ya asked someone to see the doctor off. Cen Shen rushed over in a hurry. "Young Master Song, where is my young lady?"

"She's resting in the room. The doctor has examined her. There's nothing serious."

The sound of their footsteps faded away as they talked and entered the room. Pei Jin leaned against the wall and twirled his fingers. The red gemstone sparkled on his fingertips.

The phone rang. Pei Jin answered it.

"Mr. Pei, the guy was about to run away but was caught. How should we deal with him?"

"Any cases on him?"

"No, but it was found that he had been to the police station several times. Someone accused him of raping women after they got drunk, but in the end, the victims gave up pursuing the matter."

"Both hands."

"He should also take the blame for his crimes."

"Understood."

The call ended. Cen Shen carried the person out of the room. Their eyes met, and they nodded to each other before parting ways.

The car in front of the villa started and drove away. The taillights disappeared. Pei Jin by the window retracted his gaze and turned around to leave.

The brooch sparkled on his fingertips.
